It's just after-effects of the mass dupings. Some people ARE going to be insanely rich. Like the aforementioned people with 7 stacks of armbraces to throw around wherever they like.

ugh most of the people who have thousands of ectos have had them for a long time, and are only going to get "richer" because the stuff they have just doesnt exist any more as a drop.

the only way to get ridiculously rich right now is the zchest. and even then you wont get any where near as rich as decently intelligent people got during the first year of the game.

I got run to Kodash Bazaar about a year ago with a brand new character. You don't need to have access to wurms, just the person running. Either you're doing that exact run, or you found a different one. Either way, it's not very impressive...since it has been possible since release.

Almost all the people involved got banned, so no one is 'insanely rich' from duping.

people who are saying power tarding is how they good so rich are correct

someone gets an item lets say worth 5k
trade the item for soemthing bit better

trade that item for soemthing better

that just continues till you end up with 2384837593757959739920735857395 Ectos

It's as though the newer players have to catch up to pre-dupe veterans while running on a treadmill set to high speed. Even if you already have wealth, you have to run fairly fast just to keep up with the Joneses if you want to be able to afford the remaining ultra-rare items.

With all of that said, if you dedicate a large block of time per week to acquiring stuff, have a good system for wealth acquisition and are willing to dedicate six months plus, you too can have a ton of in-game cash.

I farm very casually and before unloading a lot of my stuff, I had at least 2500 zkeys and 1500 ectos worth of stuff.

No powertrading either.

That was over a year ago since then it has been fixed all members of party need to have done the missions prior to The Gates of Desolation mission.This is so they can use the wurms as well if you just go in there and tell them to die it won't work for you to use the wurm yourself.

But still,i often see some unknown faces with rank 10 zaishen,which stinks a bit...prolly dupers,thats almost imposible for normal player

That's because you assume that you know every wealthy player in this game?

I'm sure there are also very wealthy players out there who have been farming for 3 years like crazy and who's name you never saw before...

My 2 Cents ... the whole "uber rich guys" thing is easy to explain.

Some people got very rich by getting a very lucky trade ... i know of someone who sold his mini panda ages ago for 100k, believing he got a great deal ... ofc it wasnt, but w/e.
The one who got it might have sold it for Xooo extos and Xoo armbraces, getting rich therby.

Another thing is, some ppl might just have gotten lucky with drops ... an elemental sword when nightfall just came out and they still went for Xoo ectos.

Others just powertraded back in the days when stuff was actually still worth something ... chaos axes, sephis axes, and the like. 15^50 or other perfect/near perfect stuff so to say.

Powertraders need to farm to have a cash base to operate with .. and so do the ones getting rich by farming. I used to be one of em, doing 2 man uw runs when ectos were still at 10k, doing solo runs thereafter (glads def rit > smites). Back in the day, you could get like 5-10 ectos a day.
Taking me as example, i farmed and traded (req9 15^50 axes sold or a real sum) and ended up with about 500k+700e in the end.
That was over 10 months to a years work. (to all the QQers who are gonna tell me that this is actually not much in 1 year .. well, some ppl do have friends they like to spend their time with ...)

I was a very dedicated farmer when i played, so i guess there werent that muh ppl around like me (i never rlly got tired of farming).

So some cash might have originated from ppl like me, but you dont rlly get "uber rich" with that.

The guys capable of buying pandas from lucky ppl (as mentioned above) or w/e else expensive they like... ( and i mean the very first ones, the ones teh real cash came from, not the new richies who got cash by selling a vizu or w/e)

well... let me put it this way:

So you got thousands of ectos and werent here during the glitch ... well, you got hundreds of armbraces and didnt dupe, or a duping friend who gave you some hundreds ... just farmed?
Suuuuuuuuuuuure.

Just kidding. Oh wait! theres HOM, thats another story. Just try enjoying the game. Complete titles, prepare for GW2.

If I never bought High-End armor and weapons for all of my char, my estimate puts me at 3.5-4 mil gold. And I earn my money through selling Z Keys. I just farm 20-30k a day, 10k through 55ing places, other 10k-20k selling Z Keys, depending on how I do in RA and GvG.

I honestly don't think it's that easy to make money. There are so many farmers out there who have ridiculous amounts of cash and say "sorry I only have 100+k" while some of us can't farm to save our life and have to scrape by with maybe 50k max.

I don't know how so many get so rich, but what really gets me is how some people just get the money to have it, they don't plan to ever use/spend it. They just think it makes them cool to have like 1 million plat in their storage. They farm for lack of anything else to do just to build it up.

But anyway, I don't know if you can be that rich but I don't find making money that easy in the game. The only way I make money is to hope something in my store sells and get all the Nightfall treasures which take forever to reset and half the time they're purple and not gold, thus lowering the gold acquired. My other method is doing all the Kourna, Kaineng City, and Vabbian quests and getting things worth plats each (gems, superior salvage kits).

But...yeah, that's my input.
